From my past: words of my past |
Stringing out a melody Of notes that tell of old And silent peaceful symphonies Who tell a tale foretold To see yourself as who you are To see you as you’re not A piercing glare to warm the heart And hate what you forgot A graceful curved simplicity To double as a whole A dreamy sign that never was A sign that slipped your soul Nothingness and everything As webbing fills the gap Blunting edges make no move And fall within the trap To find a friend in a mirage To realise no one’s there To try to mend a broken heart With nothing but despair So leave it be, there’s nought to see And nothing there to use Timelessness was only yours When you had none to lose |
