mesmerised by your slicing tongue
all metaphors of the dealings done
part of the fall/
float with the rise
born to bring about demise.

humiliated seeing you survive
all metaphors of suffice
pity a joke/
sympathy a knife
but courage has been missing all this while.

the words that leaned from your mouth/
forever broke
hearts, visions, dreams alike
all burnt to ashes that night.

Love beyond all blindness saw
all metaphors of devour
lust found its meaning thus/
in the crux of deafeating us
and we bore it thinking all was ours.

With dreams sketched along the sky
all metaphors of the night
stars winking like trouble/
moon unlike its brother
darkness engulfed all the life.
