Description of my life |
I wear the tattered dress, I let them laugh, I am a old woman now, but they still remember, me,as the young girl caught in adultery. I paid the price, oh, the years and the tears, stretch behind me , as a vast wasteland, of lovers and husbands, gone forever, vanished out of sight. The night is dark, the shadows creep in, the coldness settles upon my skin. I walk alone, with my head held high, whispers and cackles, do not define who I am. I am not dirt beneath their feet, I am redeemed by a blood more precious than, their silver or gold, my treasure is in heaven, that will not rust or mold, I am no longer dressed in a tattered dress, but I have on a white robe of righteousness. I walk towards the light, I walk in the night, with a candle burning bright. I walk with grace and dignity, towards my lover, the King of Kings, Lord of Lords, He shall love me forever, Our ties shall never be severed, love amazing, love divine, we meet in the orchard of the new wine. our lives forever entertwined. |
