Pinnacle

    Hoisted above
    Thrust to lofty airs
    Above the forest floor

We climb skyward
Worn trail to guide our feet
As we ascend towards the summit

    My knees quaking,
    I feel the stress of every step
    In my back

But this is the price to pay
That allows us to absorb this beauty
Here above tree line

    My camera spins to focus
    I capture fleeting serenity
    To show to those below

I can not easily predict
When I will pass here next
Or my strength when I return
