The Knife Strikes

In a silent place stood an abandoned house
So lonely so quiet, no scutter of a mouse
Sat a girl bounded to a rocking chair
With eyes so dark and hair so fair
Ropes around her held her in so tight
She wriggled around not giving in without a fight
As she gave up tears fell from her sorrow eyes
She raised her head but her taped mouth stifled the cries
She was afraid of something, or “someone” that had her feared
A murderer, a person held some that was dear
Her life, her precious life was in terrible stake
Not knowing the next move that the murderers gonna make
As the door creaked open, a man stepped in
Holding a sharpened knife, ready to make his next sin
The girls eyes widened, she was afraid
She thought about her life the mistakes she had made
The murderer went in and raised his knife
The victim screamed---that ended her life
Knife deep within the flesh of the victim
Lights that flickered on the blood suddenly went dim
Blood created a pool around the body of the girl
Her lifeless eyes watching the murderer’s lips curl
He stood there a satisfied grin on his face
He picked up a cloth on the floor--the girl’s blood soaked lace
He kept it as a remembrance for the ending of her life
For she was the victim of the murderer...”The Knife"
