Something So Right

When I first met you, you didn't know what to do,
so I went over there to talk to you.
You told me to leave, but I asked what was wrong,
and for us to talk didn't take long.
Then we talked, late into the night,
which was something that felt so right.
As we talked, you began to smile,
it was then I knew it was all worthwhile.
Come the next day, I asked you out,
so you can see what I'm all about.
We went out, and had so much fun,
it was then that I know that we had won.
You told me I was your very best friend,
and I told you, "That will never end".
I told you I loved you, and yes its true,
and I said, "I will always be here for you".
