Severe Wind Advisory

in response to a prompt for The Writer's Cramp

A Severe Wind Advisory
Oh yea, we had us one today.
Gusting to fifty miles an hour
It  blew 'bout everything away.

Tonight it was so much calmer.
After the wind had ceased to blow,
Until midway through my dinner
I knew I'd have to let some go.

Oh, I tried to leave the table
I planned to run quick down the hall,
But just as soon as I stood up
I heard this big thundering squall!

I suppose I should have issued
A Severe Wind Advisory
Not pertaining to the weather
but to the lower side of me...
