A dream woke me to dawn’s splendor, Beauty reflected in scarlet and rose, Clouds tried to hide the sun’s yellow glory behind Dark charcoal clouds transformed into angry red coals; Everyone thought that the clouds promised a thunderstorm, Flashes of lightning encouraged their terror that Gallons of water would wash us away Hysteria caused some to flee to the mountains Ignoring the exquisite double rainbow, the Joyous shouts of those who Knew their salvations had arrived. Light broke through clouds revealing Mountains covered by avalanche snows; Now those feeing had no safe place to hide Only the city offered a refuge, a Place of safety in s world gone mad: Questions arose in my mind as I watched, was this Reality or a continuing dream? The Splendor of dawn seemed to scatter The image of a nightmare transforming Under an avalanche of hope into a Vision of the future or another World separated by time and space; an X (unknown factor) in a very weird dream: Yawning I closed my eyes hoping for more Zs until my mind cleared and I could wake up.
