Rescue on a cargo ship.
The cargo ship arrived to port
amid two thunderclaps;
this sea ship carried pita bread,
so called, Tortilla Wraps.
And even though the storm was there
to rain on aft and stern,
the crew worked hard unloading her,
for they had dough to earn.

Amid the Wraps through thunderclaps,
they reached into her hold;
and rain came down upon their heads,
a rain both hard and cold.
But just when crane was lifting load,
a cable break, so rude;
and down through decks the pallets fell,
with crates of fallen food.

That falling mass was like a blast,
a bulkhead had to give;
and that damaged the exit doors
to rooms where crewmen lived.
Most crew had gone sometime ago,
but two were still inside;
and now they had to rescue them
despite the storm and tide.

The first thing that they had to do
(for none were there to grieve),
was give those men an air filter
so they could rightly breathe.
For there were ruptured pipes, all right,
and chemicals from tanks;
so when the men were breathing right,
they put thumbs up in thanks.

They labored hard into the night
with fire-rescue flair;
the two men were then taken to
a hospital for care.
Both men received blows to the head,
their vision somewhat blurred;
but luckily for those crewmen,
no brain damage occurred.
