Heartbeat

Heartful poem for the heartfelt friend.

A heartbeat away in time,
I will see you once again;
So our lips may dually chime,
Words that now be writ by pen.

In a moment we must part,
Though hard, strive to endeavour;
For I know within my heart,
This love endures forever.

And the moment we meet again,
A distant heartbeat from today;
Shall be when we'll exclaim,
"I will never go away!"
