Too many distractions
It is the end of the week,
Time to rest and relax,
To bring myself to account,
I only want to write.

I only want to write,
To meet my daily word count,
But I have to answer text,
And repair a facet’s leak.

And repair a facet’s leak,
When I only want to fix,
A poem’s syllable count,
Or end a character’s plight.

Or end a character’s plight,
I have too many conflicts,
Troubles continue to mount,
It is the end of the week.
