Purpose

My first poem hope you like it

Before you begin I would just like to say I was in a very dark place when I first wrote this poem. I am glad to say I am no longer in that place now. However, I still posted this poem because it was the first true cry of pain in my heart that I put into words.
So just know this is a very broad generalization of mankind and is not the way I think anymore. If you want a more uplifting poem try one of my other works. Enjoy.

We go through this life
looking for angels on earth
but we shall find none

Angels are not here
not on Earth in the very least
maybe in heaven

But not in this life
the angels are all around
but not in humans

We are living dead
walking about without purpose
in a life we stole

Life is not our own
if we make it so we hurt
we are all selfish

We want to survive
but that's not a living
it is a sink hole

We take from others
so that we may feel better
this is our nature

It brings me sadness
to have the name of human
for they disgust me

I do not crave life
Only a reason to live.
