something happened in her mind, so they locked her up
They say she went crazy. One day, just started acting as if the devils soul was her own. The scene was horrific, her fiancée, the prince, opened the door to her chambers one evening to be greeted by 6 bodies. All of which he recognized, a few maids, the cook, a barn worker. At the end of the maze of corpses, she sat tall and straight in front of her dressing table, carelessly brushing her hair, as she did every night at that hour.
The prince was mortified, he fought many battles but never witnessed a blood bath quite like this one. The once porcelain white walls, now a crimson red. The floors were thick with blood, all except for around her dressing table. The dry, still brown floor beneath her feet made it look as it she was sitting on an island in the middle of a sea. She places her brush delicately on the table, and ever so slowly rises. With the grace and elegance a soon-to-be princess should.
She pauses before turning to face the prince, lowers her head for a moment, then slowly rises it again as she turns. Tucking her golden hair behind her soft white ear she gives an almost flirty smile. She is truly beautiful, in every sense of the words..or so they thought. picking up the bottom of her silk nightgown. she gingerly steps over one corpse, then another. Keeping the warm girlish smile on her face as she makes her way towards her prince.
"I think I have decided on red flowers for the wedding" She says softly, placing her delicate hand on the strong one of the prince. "Wouldn't that be lovely darling? Red." her smile instantly drops as she says that word, 'red'. She spins around to face her blood stained room. "Red"
She raises her arms in the air, but before she can take any sort of action two guards dressed in heavy armour grab her arms, tying them behind her back. They bind her hands together tightly, she looks back at them and quietly laughs to herself.
"I do hope this old rope does not cut me, I would hate to get blood on my dress" She rolls her shoulders back once, smiles at the prince who whispers something along the lines of "I'm sorry" and with that, she is drug out of her room, down the halls, through the door, and into a heavily barred carriage.
The black carriage is armed with black bars, the inside is seatless with a floor of black wood, walls of worn black leather. The six black horses walk on the command of the black clad driver. In the black of the night she can just make out the faces of the townspeople, awake at this hour just to witness the demon princess being carried off, to the outskirts of the kingdom she was destined to rule.
For the entirety of the journey, she sang to herself a single verse of an old folk song used to scare children.
In the still of the night
much to our devils delight
the fairies turned to demons take flight
