I Will Shine

I always stand in the background,

I never get my chance to shine.

Whenever I get a chance to show what I can do,

You always shove me down,

Not wanting me to ruin your spotlight.

But your time is soon over!

I will shine.

Whether you like it,

Or not.

I will push my way past you,

I will stand tall,

And shine like the brightest star in the universe.

I will come out of the shadows,

And I will be me.
