A trip the light fantastic poem about my weird mind and how I see my reality. |
-Image Caught In Time- by Keaton Foster In this mind There is an image caught in time A pre-apocalyptic wilderness Of an eagerness to love and be loved A blissful Eden that never has existed Enslaved only by my imagination Such a place is as beautiful as it is wicked Such a place is unparalleled By all others created by me In this mind I do see all that is to be Many terrifying creatures lurk All frozen in frame Because I alone know their shame There is and will be no escape Forever each detail comes to life Summoned up at a whim Easily again and again The muse for my rhymes The mother and father of my brutal ways The God of my sacred universe Turned upon its head In this mind There is an image caught in time Certainly someday soon what is seen What is frozen in frame will escape Out into the real world all around The real world that I have always refused Because such a reality lends no muse I do not write what can been proven I wish to only write about the many untruths That all human beings at one time or another face My decimated dreams may be full of implausible screams But such dreams I will certainly fight to make true My life, an image caught in time My life, a tragedy of the mind… Image Caught In Time Written by Keaton Foster Copyright © 2012. |
