My love and apple pie

His love he shows
Through many a love notes
My mistake he forgets
True, on me he dotes

Its my turn now
To fulfill all his wishes
Second to me, comes
His love for exotic dishes

So here I go
Some new recipes to try
What should I make?
Custard, pastry or apple pie

I flip through recipe book
And quickly work out a pie
Then off to the office I dart
Carrying it for my sweetheart

Office is ruled by a man
Some call him an annoying boss
He only crave for perfection
On seeing him people are at a loss

Back home, I eagerly try my dessert
Only to find that in my haste
I swapped the flour with apple
resulting in a total waste

I hurried to warn him
The apple pie he should not taste
Only to find a message from my boss
'Your pie was the best'
