Poetry's Faith

Writing poetry

It is faith
in God's Glory
that generate
the ideas,
the themes,
and the subjects
of my poetry.

When I do not pray
I cannot write!

Without prayer and meditation,
I am blind
to the subtleties
of metaphor and simile,
deaf to the rhythm
of stanza and line,
and unable to comprehend
the language
of meter and rhyme.
