| Something foreign from what I knew. Conflicting feelings could run so close, merge into each other. A hand around my heart that squeezes it tight. Holds it’s firm grip. But I can’t say no. Still I know I should go. Turn and leave this behind. The hand squeezes my heart again and I know I’ll stay. Stay right here in these feelings I know I should shed. But that I can’t flip the switch on. |
