Israel bombs Syria

It was reported on Wednesday that Israeli fighter jets bombed inside Syrian territory. The initial report said that Israel bombed transports carrying Russian missile parts and transports carrying possible chemical weapons. Syrian president Al-Assad stated that Israel did not bomb transports, instead Al-Assad said that Israel actually bombed a military research centre.

The United States is reporting that the fighter jets bombed transports due to fear that the weapons where heading to Hezbollah. Syria reports that the bombing was actually at a military centre just Northwest of Damascus. With both sides telling a different story, who do you believe? Israel has still denied any involvement after this incident.

The incident has caused even higher concerns and worry throughout the entire region. Iran has warned Israel that retaliation will most likely follow. Russian president Vladmir Putin has stated that if the Israeli attack is confirmed, that Russian action will most likely take place.

Tension is rising and battle lines have been drawn. If the events in the region continue to escalate, an all out middle eastern war is sure to break out and countries like Russia and China will be forced to get involved, which could possibly start the third world war. Time will tell if a peaceful solution can be placed on the table. But at this rate, countries are preparing themselves for the worst.
