"His bite WAS worse than his bark..."

Firmly picking up the saw and beginning the back-and-forth motions in the air, “Amazing…this is much easier than I imagined it to be” the thought drifts lazily in his mind, then lines up the saw to the trunk and begins the motions again.

A primal scream penetrates through the air causing him to pause, actually surprising him for a moment, but then determinedly he goes back to the task at hand.  Slowly, the screams die away leaving only the sounds of sawing, but he is careful to stop before going all the way through the trunk.

Then, as if it were no big deal he gently pushes the upper portion until there is the unmistakable “C-R-A-A-A-A-A-C-K” before falling.  It made a soft THUD as it hit the ground.  “Huh”, he hadn’t noticed until just now there lay a rifle at the base of the tree next to him, "Wouldn't have been any use anyway" he thought.  He carefully put the saw down and slowly picked up the canvas bag that had been slung over a branch on that tree.  Picking up the separate pieces of the body and putting them carefully into the sack, he ties it tight.  Holding on tightly to the sack, bending back as far as possible without cracking his own branches, he snaps upright and releases the sack with the body of the man who intended on cutting him down, flinging him far, far away.
