A poem that compares God to an artist. |
You breathed us into being; the Artist of artists; Musician of musicians. You are so creative; You created the cosmos; imagined the galaxy and it was so. You created the sun and the moon; The land and the water; The animals and the sea creatures. You gave them a part in Your painting; they all play a role; just look at the big picture. Insects brake down leaves; the rain waters plants; the sun provides energy for life. The world sings of Your greatness; whales sing to You as they migrate; stares of Your string section. On the sixth day You were almost finished painting; You created man, painted in Your image. You gave them a soul, will, and conscience; man has Your cross as the glue keeping them together; You are all around them. You made them care takers of the world; man the last thing You created; the part that is made in the Artists image; Your signature on creation. |
