In a midsummer dream |
| In a midsummer dream We climbed mountains covered with snow ice cream Until we came to a frozen lake And there we stopped to celebrate The season's transformation. In a midsummer dream The frozen lake became a sparkling stream Filled with salmon, trout, and bass; Its bank was covered with lush grass And pink, red, and white carnations. In a midsummer dream The stream became a bright light beam That transformed spring to summer And made the air around us warmer, But we continued our celebration. In a midsummer dream We sang and danced to the extreme, We feasted at summer's shrine And drink our fill of its sweet wine To the point of physical exhaustion. |
