If I were president.
Two times a year we must alter the clocks;
spring forward fall back inhibits my jaw.
If I were president, constant tick-tocks.

Time is a constant in cosmic strongbox;
yet in our hubris we ignore that law.
Two times a year we must alter the clocks.

Throughout the cities and in the boondocks,
changing the time sticks in many a craw.
If I were president, constant tick-tocks.

This time change vehicle would be on blocks!
Then I daresay I would hear a hurrah.
Two times a year we must alter the clocks.

From oval office I’d pull up my socks;
it‘s a conclusion I‘d happily draw.
If I were president, constant tick-tocks.

I remain sure as the gold in Fort Knox;
now is the time for a little chutzpa.
Two times a year we must alter the clocks;
if I were president, constant tick-tocks.
