A fun way to teach people about the money that can be made from recycling |
Forget About Recycling We go on a dump scab, we go every day We pick up all sorts of things that others throw away There’s furniture and bicycles, there’s even pots and pans Sometimes if we’re lucky there’s bottles and there’s cans So, forget about recycling, just throw it out today And we’ll be there to pick it up and tow it all away We’ll clean it up, we’ll fix it up. It might take a nail or two And when we have our garage sale we’ll sell it back to you. We go on a dump scab, we go every week We pick up all sorts of things some of them are antique There’s teddy bears and rocking chairs, there’s even pot plant stands But you know, we really like those bottles and those cans So, forget about recycling, just throw it out today Cos we’ll be there to pick it up and tow it all away We’ll take it to the antique shop. Where it could sell for quite a lot Then we’ll have money in the pot and it all thanks to you We go on a dump scab we go every month We pick up all sorts of things that you throw out as junk There’s radios and stereos. We don’t mind dirty hands Cos you know we really like those bottles and those cans So forget about recycling just throw it out today And we’ll be there to pick it up and tow it all away We’ll fix it up and trade it in; it might take a day or two But when we get our new TV it will be thanks to you We go on a dump scab we go every year We collect the cans and bottles that buy our Christmas cheer There’s purses with still money in; that someone has thrown in the bin So if you think money’s such a sin just throw it out me And forget about recycling just throw it out today Cos' well be there to pick it up and tow it all away And when we have collected it and saved a buck or two I think we'll have a party and the drinks will be on you. |
