What Do You Do

What do you do when the one you love falls out of love with you?
When the emptiness sets in,
When you ask yourself how did this happen, what did you do?
The where, the why, the when.

What can you do, how can you live, where do you go from here?
Should you pack and walk away,
Do you except the facts, try to start again, search for love,
Or give it another day?

Can your heart mend after so many years and memories galore?
Is there still love out there to find?
Is there happiness around the corner to fill the empty void?
Or will you just lose your mind?

Do you pray to God to comfort you and for the answers you seek?
Will He mend your broken heart?
Or will He tell you it's time to move on, to pick up the pieces,
To put together the broken parts?

So you lay awake night after night, hoping the answers will come,
But with dawn brings the same despair,
No answers were found during the dark and sleepless night,
No revelations, no repair.
