Her fear grows as the sky blackens. There has been no safe haven yet, nowhere to hide, it always comes. It gets to her in the moments before she falls asleep and hurts her.
“I’ll try the church tonight”, she tells herself attempting to quell the panic as she races there in desperation. She sneaks in and finds a hiding place, and silently starts to pray to the Lord for mercy and for help. “If this doesn’t work, I don’t know what I’ll do...”
Despite her fear, the exhaustion is overcoming her. Her breathing deepens and her body relaxes for the briefest moment and it is in that moment that “It” comes.
A steadily increasing sharp singe of pain, and then another, and another as if something is stabbing her with a hot poker over and over again. She cries out, screaming in pain, “Oh Lord, Please!”…
