I Feel Tall Again

They knew they had to do more to reach deep inside
Sterile offices and endless talking only hurt their pride

There had to be a better way to take the hurt away
To make the veterans returning home find their way

Joe came to this new place hesitant but willing to try
He needed to trust again and let the past say goodbye

Joe met Sam while standing alone under a big oak tree
They walked together and formed a bond all could see

Joe mounted Sam and said I feel tall again and strong
Equine therapy helps the vets know they will carry on.
