The break-up

The heart of a sweet, precious little angel
Was broken into pieces when she heard the news.
Their connection was like a chain-linked fence.
Nothing could ever come between the two.
They did everything together.
Laugh, cry, smile, and play.
Inseparable they were.
Until one day, they were torn apart by a gunshot.
The sound of the gun rung threw her ears
As she looked around, she saw no one.
She screamed aloud for her friend.
Nothing.
Her eyes filled with tears
As she walked towards the park
She cried and cried as the veins ripped out of her heart.
