Join Andy as he soars through outer space on a tasty adventure. |
It happened one October night, A little boy named Andy, He dressed up like an astronaut, Set out to get some candy. He filled his basket to the top, Just like last Halloween. Brushed his teeth, climbed into bed, Where he began to dream… Up, up away he starts to fly, Aboard his rocket ship. Never in a million years, Will he forget this trip! While looking out the window, Of the rocket, what’s he see? The whole entire universe, Is made out of CANDY! Sparkles fill the darkened sky, Oh my! A sour treat. These colorful nerds he’s passing by, Look good enough to eat. Billions of stars have formed, To make a special galaxy, This galaxy called, The Milky Way Is rather chocolaty. Way over there, what candy is that? The big, large, yellow one. It shines a light so bright, Is that a lemon drop as the Sun? The planets in our solar system, They float around the Sun. The first four are Terrestrial The last four Jovian. The four Terrestrial planets Are closest to the Sun. They look a lot like jaw-breakers, Except for that fourth one. First planet Mercury, then Venus. Third planet Earth, and fourth is Mars. How cool to have a planet, look like a candy bar! Four other bigger planets, Orbit ‘round the Sun, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune, They are the Jovian. As for these cooler planets, Did you know they all have rings? The rings of these gaseous planets, Resemble licorice strings. Chocolate rocks of different sizes, Form the asteroid belt. Between two planets—Mars and Jupiter– Are where these asteroids dwell. While flying around the universe, He’s the happiest boy in space To explore a candy solar system, Puts a smile on Andy’s face! But wait! What’s this scattered on The rocket, splats of brown? It seems the candy universe, Has started to melt down. Back to Earth, Hurry! Hurry! Turn this rocket around. A universe made of chocolate, And other tasty sweets, Is melting from the Sun, If chocolate’s involved, the Sun defeats. Soaring fast through outer space Toward home or meet his doom He flies right by a bubble gum ball, Earth’s one and only moon. He soars—zip! He flies—zoom! The rocket starts to shake… He rolls right out of bed, He’s in his room now, WIDE AWAKE. Andy jumps right up, looks around, The room is normal, so it seems. This candy solar system, Was only in his dreams. |
