A couplet for Lexi's Poetry Challenge. |
| Her parched lips crave for more water. Scorching rays scald and torment her. Just a little sip now she needs. Sweat on her forehead form in beads. Her delicate skin cracks endure The sultry season without cure. For rainfall she wants to wait. A downpour she wishes to create. She will drink from the lovely spring Joy welling up, mirth it will bring. Alas! Her sultry dreams decease. The fiery ball rises with ease. Form: Couplet 12 lines Prompt: Summer falls |
