| The dull monotony frets her. Drab, outlandish country fetter. Out of the rustic land she retreats. Charm of the rolling rapids she meets. She muses on her treachery. Her cheeks turn ruby with fury. The stream amidst the ranges calms, A gentle woman she becomes. She now forgets to take revenge, The soothing grace dissolves her rage. The serene pulchritude pleases, Divine elegance appeases. The prompt words arte in bold. 8 syllables per line with aabb rhyme scheme. |
