As I float, drifting here helplessly in the sea in darkness, I can hear a question being asked, “What is your greatest fear?” By who, I do not know. But I can say that I am living it. Great swells roll around me, surrounding me like mountains, I feel so small. When several of the swells pass leaving me a momentary view, the moonlight lights up enough for me to lose the little hope I had to the vast expanse in every direction with nothing in sight. No help. No hope.
I am alone, in a swallowing sea, in the dark, but wait, there is something, under the water I can feel a rush and a hard bump! Oh God, I am not alone! My heart is in my throat, I feel so helpless, nothing to cling to, no safety of a dingy, nothing to keep me from them.
“Please God, help me!” I cry out in the wind, “I’m so scared!” There are large fins, another hard thump hits, I cry.
