Mother knows best
That's what they say
But does it always
Work out that way?

Let's look at Eve
Mother of all
She ate the apple
We took the fall

And Mother O'Leary's
Cow did a turn
Kicked over a lantern
Chicago then burned

Marie Antoinette
Queen Mother so mean
Said "Let them eat cake"
They said "Guillotine"

Dear Mother Nature
On her bad day
Is likely to send
A tornado your way

Electronics have you?
When mother boards stop
You're likely pay
Five hundred a pop

So Mother knows best
Is that the way?
Of course it is so
Here's what I say

Our mothers know best
Yes, it's the truth
They always are right
And I have the proof

You see they are perfect
So don't make a fuss
How else could they birth
Such perfection as us!
