Kisses
 

 

Kisses is a self portrait of Theo and me. He was my favorite pet. This selfie was taken the day I taught Theo to do “kisses.” I would say “Kisses” and Theo would cock his head to the side so I could kiss him on the top of his head. He never needed any treats or rewards for learning kisses. Theo seemed to find pleasure in the love of it. It broke my heart when he passed on. Before leaving though, he did help teach kisses to his younger companion Shadow.
