Gary, Papa G, Dad, brother and friend

I have talked about the desire for a family tree. I figure I am one leaf among many. The only problem is that I am not clear about what others might regard in any way meaningful.

I am the oldest of eight siblings. My main adopted role was to be an example, so for those who turned out well they can be thankful that I was thrust in that role. For other persons consider who put me in that role in the first place.

I am probably known by my association with Kurt, my younger brother by a little less than a year. We slept in the same room during our growing up time. Both of us have wrestled with mental illness in one form or another. The important thing is that we are brothers and care a lot about each other.

My claim to fame was pursuing a dream to be a minister. It took me all the way from Massachusetts to Kansas City, Missouri. While pursuing a dream I became married to Cindy and had three children: Michael, Tim and Julie. They all graduated from Kansas University (KU). I have pastored and served as a chaplain. At the present time I am a caregiver and Security guard. I am learning that I can serve others no matter what I do. I pray that others in family and beyond can learn this for themselves.
