Love Battle

A shorter poem about my abusive ex boyfriend.

Lead me to the war
Take me to the wedding
Guide me into the travesty
in which we are heading

Sell me out to the crowds
Shatter me inside
Resurrect all my sadness
in which I have tried to hide

Crumble me within
The walls of my depression
Give me an excuse to cry
Maybe I will learn a lesson

Help me again to stand
Only to drag me down
Save me from the Tidal Waves
Only to let me drown

Rise me from the ashes
Of what we could have been
Protect me from the tragedy
That you have held me in

Bring my confidence to zero
Make me feel like a fake
Steal away my dreams
As if they were yours to take

And lastly but not least
Try to come back around
But when I give you the cold shoulder
Remember who you let down.
