A strange poem about two people who need each other but don't know how to get there. |
-Strangers In A Strange Land- by Keaton Foster Shady Is the lady Who sits there Waiting Shifty Is the man Who has no Real plan Either knows The other They’re strangers In a strange land She The lady The one who Is sitting there waiting Lacks any form Of bravery She keeps to herself She won’t say Nothing to anyone Desire does fill her heart She wishes for love But because of her desire To say nothing to anyone To speak for herself She has become content With the idea Of remaining alone It’s all that she Has ever known Sad it may be Truth indeed But he The man The one who Is lacking a real plan Also wishes for love Desperately he needs The better half he dreams Maybe she, whomever it be Can help him with a plan Thus allowing him to achieve His multitude of dreams Oh how wonderful That would be But he and she Again Are strangers In a strange land And the odds Of them coming together Is a bit of salt in a sea of sand So how can two people One shady, the other shifty One afraid, one uninspired Find a way to each other When lost is what they are What they seem most of all Passive aggressive witnesses They challenge nothing And stand for even less They must rise up to themselves And fight for what they need Out of this thing called life They must find a way to defeat The neuroses of their beings Come together and make it better For themselves and each other Thus no longer being Strangers in a strange land They can do it But only if they try I’m sure they will Because I’m certain they must… Strangers In A Strange Land Written by Keaton Foster Copyright © 2015. |
