A poem describing the emotion of relief. |
| A surge of emotion breaks from behind the dam of turmoil. Sweetly covered in chocolate kisses. The emotion unravels The coils that bound its victim And held her in indecision; At the mercy of tension and dread. They drain like bath water Gurgling and churning, but leaving all the same. Gone. Leaving only the fresh scent of delight And the freedom to stretch And push your limbs out into the lovely spring grass. Tendrils and wisps rise like vapour And fade into the passing breeze. Life eases and time expands; Tightened chest loosens; A smile plays at the lips. Breathe my friend, The worst is over. You can relax now And let it go. All is going to be Just fine. |
