Faded

A poem I wrote in 2002

tears trickle down
as the world goes around
I scream no one hears
when I speak no one answers
why do I feel so empty inside
does life have a meaning
or maybe it's just me
I'm starting to drown
in my own tears
as the days go by
I wonder why
I'm always the faded one
