Katarina's hand hovered over the pile of bones before selecting half of a rib.

"Now toss it on the fire," the old woman commanded with a nod.

Katarina hesitated, but did as told under the seer's unnerving watch.

"He chose the other half, you know," she said.

"What does that mean?"

The woman cackled.
