Absurd Encounter with Fear

Satanic echoes reverberate
through the minds
of the powerful
and the rich.

Walls begin to crumble
as status quo
and class barriers
melt
into beads of glass scattered
across the battlefield
where alternate fact
wages war
against the battalions of truth.

From the temples of power politicians
seek to manipulate
populations
with xenophobic apparitions
of terror.
