I wanna be young and restless,
not a worry in the world,
going through life careless,
unafraid to let the real me show.

I want to believe in fairy tales,
with confidence in happily-ever-after,
as I patiently wait for my Prince Charming
to awaken the passion within my heart.

Why can’t I be naïve and irresponsible,
living only for the present moment,
without even a thought of the future,
a distant time that I cannot fathom?

I wanna be young and reckless,
believing that fairy tales come true,
chasing the impossible dreams, and
choosing to let the true me shine.
