Dealing with writer's block.

Blocked

I can’t write anything today,
my brain doesn’t want to.
My heart has so much to say,
but the words just won’t come.

I’ve tried using my journal,
even tried some writing prompts;
My mysterious muse has left, and
there’s no rhyme or reason.

Looking in my idea book didn’t help;
it feels like I’m blocked.
Creativity has slipped away
in elusive silence, leaving me empty.

There’s no more ideas, nothing to do;
I sit and doodle on my paper,
hoping and praying for relief,
just one idea to write about.
