A brief commentary on Charlottesville, Virginia
Seven score and sixteen years ago our great nation engaged in a bloody civil war between the north and the south. We may have lost more than lives but we gained valuable insight into our own human fraility. I don't think all those brave soldiers and especially the one mounted on his horse at Lee's Park in Charlottesville would approve of all the nonsense over a statue.Let the valliant soldiers of both sides rest in peace and not another drop of blood or another tear be shed in the name of hate and rascism. Let us not forget how far we've come from the brutality of conflict and war but to remember that the inevitable outcome is a sad statement on the human race as a whole. Regression cannot become productive and we shall suffer the consequences if it does.
