A Christian sonnet

The 25th is our Lord’s birthday,
His humble infant bed was hay,
Three wise men headed his way
With presents for the Baby Son
Believing in His Father’s wisdom.
New Testament times then begun
Are scribed to be read by everyone
Open to the belief not to be a thief.

Jesus can heal if you are suffering,
You can talk to Him by praying,
Listen to what He might be saying
With the parables you are reading.
Christmas is a celebrational time
For accepting the bread and wine.
