| Hurricane Honey Spell On a cloudy day find a black mangrove tree. They live at the border of mud and blue sea. Scrape its excreted salt from the leaves and with gravity stir into some honey. Thank Grandfather Tree. Remember the storm's deafening crescendo, shattered windows, rattled doors, roofs laid bare. Recall morning bird song. Thank Grandmother Sky. Stir in some saffron threads to electrify the mix. Take daily. Pray for Puerto Rico. |
