It is all your fault?

Snow Storm

"This is all your fault!" Sally shook her fist at the sky. "Come on! Really! Snow! Today of all days?"

Snow continued to fall, inches piling up. Soon the road outside would be impassable.

"I knew scheduling this in Montana in February was a dicey decision." Jeff looked out the window, smiled. He didn't care about snow. It made the weekend cozy, but he wasn't sure how to share that idea with Sally.

The cabin was perched on a mountain top. To get there, one had to use an old logging road which wasn't plowed in the winter, but groomed for cross-country skiing. Great in the summer, but difficult in the winter unless one had 4 wheel drive and chains.

"We're fine. There's enough food, water, wood and each other. What more do you need?" Jeff walked over to Sally, still by the big window, watching more snow come down.

"I need the people invited to our wedding to be able to get here!" She cried. "Look at this! No one can come!"

Jeff held her tight. "Just wait. It's still early." He smelled her perfume, then kissed her neck. "I love you and all will be fine."

"You always know the right things to say. That must be why I love you so!" Sally returned his kiss.

"What about some hot cocoa while we watch this storm?" Jeff led her into the kitchen.

As they sat on the couch, watching the snow, suddenly Jeff stood up. Sally joined him.

"What's that?" A black speck appeared on the road. Its roar got louder as it approached. A large snow-cat stopped in front of the cabin. Several people hopped out, waving to them.

"See? I told you it would be alright" Jeff led Sally to the door to welcome their guests.
