Purpose Beneath The Surface

Brand new poem that I just completed writing.

Tell you what I am going to do
Challenge what you believe to be true
Show you something new
In order to change your point of view
No longer beneath the surface
Revealing my true purpose
Which was once considered to be worthless
No longer lurking behind the curtains
My plan has started working
Finally feeling certain
Once existing as a secret
However I can no longer keep it
There used to be much more of a disparity
An absence of parity
It was sad to see so much tragedy
It was not hard to discern
A sacred flame continued to burn
In spite of the many lessons yet to be learned
Certain obstacles once faced
Have been overcome with grace
Finally able to savor the taste
Not letting it go to waste
Moments of presence have begun to happen at a more regular pace
Such has been the case
No longer having to wait
The stakes have been raised
Prepare to be amazed...
