The setting sun plays a soothing song. |
I hook my nervous to the end of day, anxiety is better put away; time to leave old worry for tomorrow. And shun whatever things I have not done; I glance into the western setting sun, then assail the signature of sorrow. Today I hear a sunset melody; that awesome evening sky playing for me. A deep shade of red with an upbeat tune; (maybe foretelling of a harvest moon.) And so I hear a sunset melody; orange-amber-maroon performed awesomely. The hues splash the sky with a special song; now I appear to be where I belong. I put away my toil for the night, then I wave goodbye to autumn sunlight; time to breathe deeply, for time is fleeting. I banish tasks until another time, the mountain high yet now I cease the climb; I face west for one more mellow meeting. Again I hear a sunset melody; rainbow of light displayed musically. The sunlight refracting in longer waves; (it is remarkable how it behaves.) And so I hear a sunset melody; a tune from on high, creative and free. The sun hides his face yet still gives his light, then plays a melody to welcome night. 28 Lines Writer’s Cramp Winner 3-3-20 |
