Speak To Me in Poetry

Speak to me in poetry,
In words concise and short,
In succinct expressions
Going straight to the heart.

None of this mumbo-jumbo jargon,
That’s circumlocutory and evasive.
Rather, hide the truth
In simple statements,
Requiring self-reasoning,

And leading to thoughts
Helping me grasp,
A depth of understanding
Heretofore unknown.
